You Are A Gift…
As Jesus is God’s gift to us, we are God’s gift to Jesus and to Himself. This is truly a joyful season! No matter what else is going on in the world, we have a reason to rejoice and give God the glory.
You and I have a divine purpose. We are not here by chance and we play a part in His good plan. There is something special about you that makes you unique and set apart for God’s Kingdom.
Have you found your talent yet? It comes naturally to you and can bring you comfort, joy and satisfaction when you do it well. It might not be the thing you’ve studied or trained to do, or the current thing life has pushed you into doing to get by.
Maybe you’re a builder, a teacher, a caregiver, an artist, a musician, an organizer, a cook, a peacemaker, a therapist, a stay-at-home parent, a retail worker, a truck driver, a technician, or anything that supports you financially, but it should also lift your spirit. When you do those things for God’s Kingdom, the results will always be greater and more fulfilling than what you can do on your own. You are a child of God and He will give you the grace to do whatever you're called to do in this life. You were meant to be a bright light in this world.
Are you struggling to find a balance between meeting your responsibilities and finding time for rest and rejuvenation? Then sadly, you may miss out on operating in the gift that would change your life for the better. There’s more to life than mediocrity or getting by and getting older or weaker. Take a step in faith and move from surviving to thriving! Have yourself a merry little chat with God and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to use your talents wisely and then give the glory to God. He gave you life… He loves you… He will help you succeed… Let your light shine against the darkness and share your gift with those around you. Let each of us appreciate the other's talent and join together to light up the world.
All you need to do is trust in Him who has already given us the greatest gift of all… salvation in Jesus Christ.
Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
