Here’s a practical example to help understand-

2 Corinthians 4:18

So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.

Imagine you get a shiny new toy, the latest video game, or even a new phone for your birthday. It's super exciting, right? You spend hours playing with it, showing it off to your friends. But after a while, maybe a few weeks or months, the toy starts to get old. Maybe it breaks, or you just lose interest because something new has come out. The happiness that toy brought you fades away.

Now, think about your best friend. The joy you get from spending time with them, talking, and having fun doesn't fade as quickly as the excitement of a new toy. You build a relationship that can last for years. Even if you move away or don't see them every day, you still have the memories and the bond you share.

A relationship with Jesus is a bit like that friendship, but even more powerful. The things you can buy or own (like toys, games, or phones) are temporary—they don't last forever and can lose their value. But the love, guidance, and presence of Jesus are everlasting. Even when everything else fades away, His love for you remains strong and unchanging.

What makes this relationship even more special is that you can talk to Jesus about anything that's on your mind, whether it's good, bad, or even embarrassing. He's always there to listen and support you. Plus, the Holy Spirit of God will guide you in your life, helping you make good choices and giving you strength when you need it.

Here's how the Scripture, 2 Corinthians 4:18, fits in:

We look not at the things which are seen (like toys, games, or phones), but at the things which are unseen (like our relationship with Jesus); for the things which are visible are temporal (just brief and fleeting), but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable (God's love and eternal life).

By focusing on building a relationship with Jesus, you're investing in something that will never fade or break. It's like choosing the best friendship you'll ever have—one that lasts forever and where you can share anything on your mind.
